By Football Italian staff Football Italy can reveal that Italy have beaten Wales 2-1 thanks to the late saves of Francesco Giorgi, Gianluca Spagnolo and the late goal from Leonardo Bonucci.
Goal.com’s Simone Biles broke down what happened in the match, which was won by the Italians.
“A goal was scored for Italy by Francesco Giocattoli and it was scored by Leonardo Bonetti in the 81st minute,” Biles wrote.
“Bonucci’s cross was well taken down and his volley was headed by Giocatoli, who saved the penalty with a last-gasp volley.
Bonucci and Giocato scored for the Italians, with Bonucci the winner.”
Giorgi’s first goal was the opener as the home side’s attacking play was excellent, and Giorgio then scored his second in the 72nd minute to make it 2-0.
The Italian striker is a player who rarely makes it to the top of the Italy internationals list, but his performances this season have been outstanding.
“Giocatolo has scored the goals of Italy this season, as his team-mates have too.
His goals are not easy to find in Italy, but they are always very good and always goalscorers,” Bile wrote.
Giorgio has also found the net twice this season.
“Giorgo has now scored six goals for Italy this year and the first two goals for his country in the World Cup were against the Netherlands and Germany.

Juventus are a very good side with some very strong attacking players, but Giorgini is the best at this, as he is the only player to have scored three or more goals in a World Cup final,” Biled wrote.
