ESTThere is a great deal of confusion around midwives who are being blamed for a midwives murder that took place on a busy street in central London on Wednesday.
According to the London Evening Standard, midwives are being accused of murdering an elderly woman, known as Midwife Mary, in a violent attack that left her lying on the ground.
Midwives have been called to a busy intersection on Upper Southwark High Street, in the heart of the city, after reports that a woman, identified only as Midwifery Mary, had been attacked.
Midwives were called to the scene of the attack around 9 p.M.
Wednesday, and were alerted to the victim’s death when paramedics arrived.
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement that officers have interviewed two people who may have witnessed the attack.
The victim’s identity has not been released but police say she is 60-years-old.
The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder, grievous bodily harm and affray, police said.
It was not immediately clear if the woman who was attacked was the same woman who is said to have attacked Midwife Mary.
